It is amazing just how much one can get for free on the web. If you type a selection of words relating to free software or help into a search engine you will receive back a list of very useful URLs. There is even a site which is an index to free things on the web, called, unsurprisingly freeindex. And a further site devoted to listing freestuff called totalfreestuff.
Useful words to try are: cheap, bargain, skinflint, "free stuff", tightwad, budget.
There are many sites which provide free tutorials. I have mentioned some in the various sections of this work. Some more general freebies are listed below.
